Event description

Description

#critdayNottingham

Please join us for an open and informal crit session in a friendly and supportive environment.

The event is aimed at artists who are interested in sharing their work, gaining feedback, developing their ideas, and getting to know other artists’ work.

The session, faciliatated by Jake Moore, will be based on the idea of ‘open space’ meetings, with a ‘marketplace’ and break-out areas that people can move between; contributing, sharing and listening. This free-flowing format encourages small group discussions, one-to-one conversations and a more intimate style of critique, which will be effective and constructive for everyone who attends.

There will also be the opportunity to write your thoughts on comment sheets for those who prefer this style of participation.

If possible, we would like to display all artworks from 5.30pm, allowing them to be viewed before the start of the session over tea and cake.

If you don’t have any work to show, you are still welcome to come along, view the work, take part in the discussions and talk to the artists.

Please reserve your place for this event as space is limited.

If you have any questions, or for more information please email takershaw@gmail.com.

** This event has been organised in association with the East Midlands Contemporary Visual Arts Network's DOCUMENT project. Between 23 and 29 September 2017, artist crit days will be organised in different localities throughout the East Midlands. Search #critday
