Critical curriculum design

Curriculum is the least theorised aspect of higher education practice. Fragmented, disconnected and repetitive curricula have their roots in structural and theoretical problems.
This workshop explores various curriculum theories to expand technical and paper-based views of the curriculum to those that incorporate the 'what', 'how' and 'why' and human dimensions of curriculum. Participants will explore how to develop courses in line with contemporary curriculum design principles.
