This 8 week course is for international Undergraduate and Postgraduate students who want to improve their pronunciation. This course will help you not only with your speaking skills, but also your listening skills. The course focuses on better understanding the differences between spoken and written English and how your first language can have an impact on your pronunciation.
What will you study?
In this course you will learn:
-how to choose what to read reading strategies, such as skimming and scanning
-how to improve your reading speed
-ways to deal with unknown vocabulary in texts
-how to read for gist, main ideas and detail critical thinking for reading.
Each session will be 1 hour 30 minutes long.
Classes are once a week and start at 18:30 and end at 20:00. Please arrive on time.
