Event description

Description

NIHR Clinical Research Network Greater Manchester (CRN GM) is hosting a special drop-in event to celebrate International Clinical Trials Day (ICTD).

The theme is "Be Part of Research" - which is the NIHR's brand new campaign to encourage patients, carers and the public to get involved in research.

We would be delighted if you could join us any time between 10.30am - 2.30pm on Friday 24 May 2019 to be part of this informative, fun occasion.

Whether you're a health professional or member of the public; whether you're involved in research already or might like to be in the future; or you just want to know more about clinical research in Greater Manchester - please do come along and join us.

There will be food, refreshments and the Great CRN GM Bake-Off featuring entries from our partner organisations across the region.

The schedule for the day will include:

  • Interactive exhibitions from the research teams at our partner trusts across Greater Manchester.
  • Bitesize talks from a commercial partner in the life sciences sector and research patients.
  • The opportunity to take part in mock-up clinical trials.
  • Sign-up for our flagship Join Dementia Research and Research for the Future initiatives.
  • Details about research in Primary Care and Non-NHS settings.
  • The "Be Part of Research" campaign explained - and how you can be part of it.
  • A special Be Part of Research photo booth.

Presentations on the day:

  • 11am – The Be Part of Research campaign explained - and how you can help: Clare Morgan, NIHR CRN Research Delivery Director.
  • 11.40am – Justin Watts, IQVIA Head Strategic Site Solutions, will speak on the relationship between pharma and CRN GM, and the Northern PRIME launch
