A Christmas Tree & Star Garland

Cute little Christmas trees crocheted in tonal layers which can be used as individual hanging ornaments or lined up to make a garland. Stars add a little sparkle in between the trees.

You'll make at least 1 tree and 1 star, but depending on your ability you may have time to make more.

This make is perfect for using yarns you happen to have or scraps you've saved.

This crochet-along is suitable for . . .

Anyone with just a tiny bit of crochet know-how

Crochet skills and techniques we’ll try . . .

The magic ring

A couple of the most basic crochet stitch and standing stitches (US terms)

Crochet in rows, in the round and in layers

Colour changing

What you’ll need to bring . . .

a 4.0mm hook for the trees and the same or smaller for stars

Small amounts of 4 ply, double-knit or finer arans in tree colours (greens, whites & browns) and star colours*

Hanging cord, twine or string

*Colour is generally more important, so don't worry too much about your yarns being the same weight

What’s included/ provided . . .

Star buttons and some of my own yarn scraps

I'll also have neeedles, scissors, etc., but please bring your own if you prefer

I’m a self-taught crocheter, constantly playing, still discovering and excited to share tips, advice and all the useful things I've learned along the way.

I have a no refunds policy, but I will look at requests on a case by case basis.

Changing your mind or realising you cannot attend after booking are not valid reasons for refund.

Refund of payment (less Eventbrite fee) for a class will be given for cancellations only if the spot can be filled, minus a 10% admin fee.

Frequently asked questions

I'm left handed - will this class be suitable for me?

I teach right handed and unfortunately I don't have the skills to teach left handed students, but we can try mirroring?

Do I need to have done any crochet before?

Only basic stitches are used but it's helpful to have a little experience to make the most of your time.
