Beginners crochet- This is a 5 week course (5 x 1 and a half hour sessions) where you will be taught the basics of crochet from scratch - perfect for beginners!

Have you been longing to learn how to crochet for some time but do not know where or how to start. Or would you like to learn a new relaxing and creative hobby. Come and join us on Saturday afternoons. These beginner crochet classes teach the basics for this popular textile craft.

You may have tried YouTube videos and wondered why things are not working and you do not have any one to ask where you have gone wrong. Here is your chance!

I will guide you through all the basic stiches and techniques to achieve a lovely finished project. Each week you will learn a new stitch or technique and I will also teach you to read beginners crochet patterns and charts.

This course is for you if you are :

• a complete beginner and you have never picked up a crochet hook.
• you have had a go but never got to grips with it.
• you have crocheted many years ago but need refreshing on the basic techniques.

As well as my expert guidance and hands on practice you will get all that you need to get started, a hook and a ball of yarn.

Hobbies are meant to be fun, my workshop is run with that in mind: there is no pressure to learn quickly, we will work at a pace that is comfortable for you making sure you have a solid foundation to build on. You will have enough knowledge to make basic projects, understand the language to get you going. You will learn the slip knot, how to chain, double, half treble, treble crochet and slip stitch.
