Crochet for Beginners (3 week course - evenings)

Enjoy three sessions learning all the crochet essentials! Debbie will teach you all you need to know to get started with your first crochet projects.

If you appreciate a quiet, relaxed environment, Debbie's class are run at her cosy studio in the centre of Altrincham. Classes are small so there's lots of time for personal attention and you'll be taking things at your own pace.

Sessions are on 3 Thursday evenings from 6-8.30pm and the course fee is the total for all 3 sessions including lovely yarns, hooks, handouts and patterns.

You'll make 3-4 small, fun projects - a lanyard/scissor keep, wristwarmers, a granny square and a cute little heart. Each project is specifically designed to allow you to practice your skills as you learn.

No crochet skills are required - Debbie will be starting right at the beginning. Have some experience or returning to crochet? This course is also a great refresher.

• Making a slipknot
• Making a foundation chain (and what one is!)
• Slipstitch
• Double crochet
• Treble crochet
• Increasing
• Decreasing
• Making a simple square (granny square)
• Reading crochet charts and patterns
• Finishing and seaming
• Tension (gauge) and why it matters
• Tips and tricks for avoiding common mistakes (and how to fix them!)

All materials are included - we provide quality materials - lovely yarn, crochet hooks, comprehensive professionally illustrated photo handouts and a selection of Debbie's own, exclusive patterns. We also include tea, coffee and biccies!

About your tutor:

Debbie has over 15 years' experience teaching crochet and has been a published crochet designer for over 30 years so you'll be in good hands!
