Join us on Monday 20 October 2025 7:30 – 9:30 pm to learn how you can make home improvements that will lower your energy bills and improve comfort – with DIY tips, planning support and local case studies.
We know it can be hard to find information you can trust.
We’re SY Ecofit, a Sheffield-based social enterprise and we work across South Yorkshire on decarbonisation projects including retrofitting – making energy efficiency improvements to homes. We’ve helped many homeowners in Crookes, Broomhill, Walkley and beyond with advice, assessments, architect-led design and planning and improvements carried out by our in-house team.
We’ll give advice on what improvements you can do yourself to bring down costs. There are many changes you can make yourself with the right advice and DIY skills.
We’ll also guide you on when and how a professional can help.
We’ll share local case studies to inspire you and we’ll help you plan and budget your improvements.
The venue is fully-accessible but please feel welcome to contact us with questions about the event’s accessibility or about energy improvements in advance. The venue has limited accessible-only parking but there is parking available on the streets close-by, as well as bike parking available.

This event is inclusive and open to all. However, if you are in a position to do so, a suggested donation of £5 would be welcomed to help us cover the costs of the venue hire and catering.
