About this event
What can therapists learn about cultural humility by listening to the lived experience of global workers? In this conversation, we explore the evolving landscape of global mission work — where building relationships takes precedence over exercising influence, and mutuality replaces hierarchy. Our guests coach global workers through all the challenges and transitions involved. The Benson’s own story offers us a model of cultural humility. How do we as helping professionals accompany others from different cultures with their prevailing world views? What are some of the cultural barriers and bridges? Our guests represent ‘best practices’ in transmitting their values with a high degree of cross-cultural sensitivity.
