Event description

Description

Design has grown hugely in government over the last 5 years.

In the UK government there are 600 designers and 10 heads of design working to build better public services.

We're building on a history of design in the public sector that stretches back to Isambard Kingdom Brunel, Design Research Unit and beyond, but where do we go next and what are the challenges for design for public service in the future?

Every 8 weeks the cross-government design community gets together to share best practice, meet other designers across government, and learn from each other.

During London Design Festival, we are opening up our meetup to the public, featuring talks from Dan Hill, Director at Arup, and leading designers from across government and the public sector

Hosted at the Design Museum, the meetup is about the history of public sector design and the range of service design work happening across government and the wider public sector today.

Who should attend:

  • Anyone interested in public sector design

  • Designers, developers and content people working in, or interested in working in, the public sector

Registration

This event is free to attend, but spaces are limited, so please sign up as soon as possible if you would like to attend.
