Event description
CROSSING BOUNDARIES, Music in Museums and Galleries - A discussion Panel

About this event

With a major exhibition about the early years of Factory Records on display at the Science and Industry Museum, join a panel of exhibition and event curators to explore how museums and galleries can provide a boundary crossing space for music. How do curators go about telling stories about music, and what comes out of the stories they tell? Is there a place for museums and galleries to support musicians and the music industry?

Chaired by Jan Hicks (Science and Industry Museum), the panel also includes Kat Au (Bury Art Museum and Sculpture Gallery), Bryan Biggs (Bluecoat), Fiona Corridan (Manchester Art Gallery), Mat Norman (Imperial War Museums) and Helen Stalker (The Turnpike).

This panel event is presented in collaboration with the Science and Industry Museum. Why not visit the Use Hearing Protection exhibition during the festival weekend? Book your tickets here: https://tinyurl.com/jww3zrhb
