Marisa Linton has two writing identities. In one she’s a professor of history, a historical consultant for television series and the author of books about the French Revolution. In the other she writes grounded fantasy, where supernatural beings, witches, ghosts and figures from ancient folklore inhabit a hidden world on the edge of our own.
RJ Barker is a critically acclaimed and award-winning author of fantasy fiction. He won the 2020 British Fantasy Society (BFS) Robert Holdstock award for Best Novel for his fourth novel, The Bone Ships.
David Barnett is a journalist, novelist and comic book writer based in the North of England. After many years working in regional newspapers he became a full-time freelance writer in 2015 and as a journalist works primarily for the UK press. He is the author of the folk horror series beginning with Withered Hill.
Alexandra Beaumont is a fantasy novelist with a passion for folklore, playing musical instruments and exploring the wilds of the UK. Her latest release, Dissonance of Bird Song, is praised for being a “visceral and lyrical” page turner with “praiseworthy worldbuilding” and was recently named Distinguished Favourite in the Independent Press Awards. Specialising in gothic and folkloric literature, Alexandra's lyrical books weave together myth, magic and intrigue.
