CROWD COMPANY - NEW ALBUM LAUNCH Party

A night of original funk & soul as Crowd Company launch their new album 'Stone & Sky' at the legendary Scotch of St James club in London on Oct 18. The band will be play an intimate set comprising new material from the album. There will be special guests on the night including support from The Joe Tatton Trio (The New Mastersounds) and on the decks (from Milan) will be DJ Calamity Jade spinning funk , soul, rare grooves. Plus Crowd Company will have the new album for sale on the night - LPl CDs, Singles.

The new Crowd Company album was Produced by legendary musician Alan Evans (Soulive) at his Studio in Millers Falls, MA, USA.

A modern take on vintage soul funk from acclaimed 8 piece London band Crowd Company. Brimming with energy with catchy hooks and tight grooves the band combine a Hammond organ based sound with a virtuoso horn section, soulful lead and harmony vocals.

Crowd Company release their new album 'Stone & Sky'in October 2017, produced by Alan Evans (Soulive). Their previous album 'Now Or Never' enjoyed radio airplay and excellent reviews.

About The Scotch of St James

The Scotch of St. James was where, a then unknown Jimi Hendrix first performed on the night of his arrival in England when he joined the house band for an impromptu. The Jimi Hendrix Experience then played their first UK gig as a private showcase at Scotch of St. James.The club was also where Paul McCartney first met Stevie Wonder after the latter's live performance at the club.

During its heyday in the 1960s regular patrons included: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Spencer Davis Group, Pete Townsend, Spencer Davisd Geoup, The Kinks, Crosby Stills & Nash, Steve Winwood. The Beatles and Rolling Stones were given their own tables.

More recently the Scotch has seen intimate gigs and album launches by the likes of Mark Ronson ,Earth Wind & Fire, Jack White

Since 2007 Joe Tatton has been the Organist of The New Mastersounds and has played on 7 studio albums. s well as performing and recording with The New Mastersounds he has also recorded 2 albums with The Haggis Horns, 1 with his own band "Rodina" and has supplied organ on the number one single "Put you records on" by Corinne Bailey Rae.

The Joe Tatton Trio comprises of Joe himself on piano with Sam Hobbs on drums and Neil Innes on double bass.
