Description

The Colour Network has teamed up with crowdfunding social networking platform Phundee to show you how you can raise the money to realise your dreams.

Crowdfunding is a hot topic among media professionals/entrepreneurs and with good reason – with creative businesses finding it so hard to access loans and investment, is now one of the most popular ways to raise investment to grow or launch a business or product. As Phundee is dedicated to entertainment and arts projects and businesses this collaboration is the perfect match.

If you’re a director and need money to create your own film, maybe you want to launch your own creative company or put on an event. Whatever it is, money always helps so come and learn how you can crowdfund your way to success.

Key takeaways

  • What kind of projects are best suited for crowdfunding

  • What tools to use to get your campaign out there

  • How to get your crowdfunding campaign in the press

  • What it takes to prepare for your campaign

  • Understanding of what works and what doesn’t – the dos and don’ts!

  • The key steps to take to set your campaign on the right path.

  • Networking with other creatives.

What happens after the initial workshop?

If you want to move forward with creating a campaign, Phundee are available to help. They run a programme over the course of 12 weeks, where they work with project owners in a mentorship capacity to help strategies and launch their crowdfunding campaigns.

They have developed an incredible template for success and once projects have something defined that they would like to raise funding for (Film/Web Series/Music etc) they then take selected candidates through an exclusive series of workshops (3 in total) with a crowdfunding expert which prepares them to launch their projects after a 6 week period.

After each session, mentors set tasks for project owners to complete and are given training materials in assistance. Additionally, mentors will be on hand to give advice throughout the duration of the crowdfunding experience too.

They say that 100% of all project owners that go through their workshops and launch reach 100% of their funding goal or more which is why workshops are extremely valuable.

They will tell you more about this on the night and you will also be able to speak to team Phundee during the networking session.
