A Crowdfunding and Financial Support high profile series of events held on the first Wednesday of every month, focused on starting or growing a business within Worcestershire. The events will facilitate two speakers, two product/services demonstrations, exhibition stands, founders meetup area, music/entertainment and refreshments. Starting at 5.30pm and ending at 8pm. This months theme is:

Jo Cox, Board member at Worcester Soup
Jo is part of a team organising Worcester Soup, a grass roots community, crowdfunding dinner event that enables Worcester people to support local projects and, most importantly, make connections.
Jo is working as a digital content writer and developer at Heart of Worcestershire College and she is also a freelancer in digital content writing. Jo is currently studying a Masters Degree in Transformative Practice at the University of Worcester in which, according to Jo, is for the Worcester Soup’s vision of bringing people together from all parts of our community to facilitate small projects that have the potential to make a big difference.
She has run many successful events and has supported for many ideas and inspiring projects that really made her feel delighted and encouraged to develop Worcester Soup better.
Creg Carslaw, Games Designer at 3D Total
Creg is a passionate game designer at 3D Total, he is also a passable game publisher who is responsible for ‘404: Law Not Found’. He enjoys doing lots of different things and boasts a host of skills from programming to publicity through analysis and training right up to fire frisbee which he said it is as good an idea as it sounds.
Interestingly, Creg has a really impressive background in psychology. He holds a doctor degree of Psychology, plus he has good experience with Artificial Intelligence as well.
Ben Grove, Managing Director of Estates Direct
Ben has spent the last 15 years working for some of the largest property and advertising brands such as REA Group, Propertyfinder.com and Newsquest along with other property portals. He gained a wealth of online and technical experience. Those experiences encouraged him to set up EstatesDirect.com which has been successfully operating for almost 5 years.
From an entrepreneur who had to sleep at the office for 6 months, Ben has incredibly become partners with the founder of Poundland and Match.com. He has been through “Dragons Den” scenario and successfully raised over £2.5 million in seed funding, £2 million of which was through crowdfunding.

The events will provide an opportunity for students, entrepreneurs, managers and business owners in the region to network and gain knowledge on starting and running a business. Therefore we expect you to come casual and expect to talk to everyone you meet, and of course ask questions. The talks are for 20 minutes with 10 minutes Q&A, this keeps the event highly engaged and ensures a positive experience.
