Event Details

Crowdfunding has recently surged in popularity with the success of platforms like Kickstarter, but such reward-based platforms are mainly applicable to companies that offer consumer products – so what if you don’t?

Focusing on technology companies, Jude Cook, Co-founder of, the UK’s first Technology and Health focused Crowdfunding platform, will draw on her personal experience to explore:

-       Is crowdfunding an option for your business?

-       Which type of crowdfunding best fits your needs?

-       What you’ll need to do for your best chance at success.

Topics that will be covered include:

-        What are the crowdfunding options that exist? Rewards? Loans? Equity?

-        Will crowdfunding deter later stage funding?

-        My company is cutting edge technology – the crowd won’t understand - what can I do?

-        Protecting my IP

-        Angels or the Crowd or a mix of the two?

-        Where to start.

This workshop will give you a basic understanding of crowdfunding and whether it’s an attractive option for your technology business. It will also give you a guide as to what will improve your chances of success.

Following the presentation ShareIn will run 30-minute crowdfunding clinics with individual companies. This diagnostic session will review whether crowdfunding is a good option to consider with advice on which type of crowdfunding route would be most appropriate and next steps.
