This event is for everyone thinking of crowdfunding and introduces the pledge pots for getting people active and projects in Parks.
A crowdfunding scheme launched by Manchester City Council is looking to uncover ideas that could transform the city’s parks and green spaces and that can get people more active out-doors.
Manchester City Council has created a pledge fund to support people's crowdfunding effort in Manchester and has teamed up with Spacehive, an on-line crowd-funding platform that specialises in civic projects, to make £60,000 available to help kick start local endeavours. Crowdfunded projects can apply for up to £5,000 on top of the money they’ve already raised for schemes. Anyone can present their ideas to the public and ask for their support. The scheme is open to individuals, businesses, neighbourhood groups - basically anyone who has had a spark of inspiration and thinks with a little funding they could make a big difference.
There is a part of the Spacehive website that features all the Manchester projects. https://www.spacehive.com/movement/ourmanchester
