This workshop is about crowdfunding for projects in your community. Come and find out everything you want to know about crowdfunding but were too afraid to ask. In this workshop we will cover, what crowdfunding is and isn't, how it works, what you need to do to make it a success, and what crowdfunding platforms are out there. You will also learn how to map out your physical and digital networks to make the most of them for your campaigns, and understand how to use rewards and incentives to build support. Learning will take place in a fun environment where we will get to work on a ‘real life’ crowdfunding campaign, and unpick the campaigns that have been difficult to get off the ground.
By the end of this workshop you will have:
- More knowledge of how crowdfunding works
- Learned how to use physical and digital networks for your campaigns
- Increased your confidence to use crowdfunding for your own campaigns
This workshop is facilitated by Esther Foreman, founder of The Social Change Agency (www.thesocialchangeagency.org).
If you have a physical disability or mental health challenge and living in Gloucestershire on a low income, you may be able to apply for help with your travel costs. Please contact us to discuss your situation.

You're Welcome Workshops
Barnwood Trust has a programme of community building called You’re Welcome. It’s all about creating more welcoming and inclusive communities across Gloucestershire to help people do the things they enjoy, and get to know more people where they live. You’re Welcome is for everyone, from all walks of life, and that includes people for whom life can sometimes be tricky.
At the heart of You’re Welcome are our free workshops which offer fun and inspiring experiences to support you to grow more welcoming and inclusive communities. You’re invited to join us for one or a series of workshops which are all designed to enable you and the people you live among to get better connected. The workshops are open to everyone living and working in Gloucestershire, and are offered free of charge. If after reading through the programme you can’t find what you’re looking for then please give us a call to discuss your interests.
