Crowdsourcing Cabaret, with Tales of Our City
Wed 5 April 2017, 18:00 – 20:00 BST
Which pub hosted a much-loved lesbian disco in the 80s? Where was the hottest outdoor cruising spot in the 70s? And what happened to our city's Lesbian and Gay Community Centre? Join us for an evening of sharing, celebrating and learning about our city's queer history in the amazing setting of the Pitt Rivers Museum. Whether you have been on the scene for years and want to share your memories, or are a new arrival looking to find out more – this is for you!
The legendary Dan Glass of Queer Tours of London - A Mince Through Time will host the evening and help us build up a picture of what has gone before in our city. The event is free but you need to book. Please spread the word!
The Pitt Rivers Museum is pleased to host this event as a follow up to the Out in Oxford series. Find out about Out in Oxford here: http://www.glam.ox.ac.uk/outinoxford
PLEASE NOTE - entry is vai Robinson Close on South Parks Road (OX1 3PP), not via the Musuem of Natural History on Parks Road. Look out for the LGBT Flag!
