Join us at the Hackney Museum for Crown & Creole, an immersive workshop led by our Caribbean Cultural Lead, Jennifer Laurent Smart.
This special event blends history, creativity, and community. Jennifer will share the story of Creole dress and the deep cultural meaning behind head-tying traditions, before guiding participants in a practical workshop where you’ll learn to create traditional and contemporary headwrap styles.
More than a skills session, this is a celebration of Caribbean heritage, fashion, and storytelling.
Open to all, the workshop invites all with an interest in culture and identity to join us for a welcoming, empowering experience.
FREE entry - Funded as part of Hackney Council's Black History Season.
