Croydon Tech City: Small Business Commission workshop @ Sussex Innovation C...
Tue 11 April 2017, 10:00 – 12:00 BST
According to the Federation of Small Business Small businesses accounted for 99.3% of all private sector businesses at the start of 2016 and 99.9% were small or medium-sized.
CTC Director Sarah Luxford has been nominated as one of the Commissioners by Croydon Council to work with SMBs to understand challenges they have faced in trying to grow their business - and we want to make sure that the voice of the tech community is heard!
The commission is working with local businesses and stakeholders to explore what could make the borough a more attractive place for SMEs to stay and grow.
The commission’s findings will form a report detailing recommendations for action, which will shape how council services support local businesses to help them grow in the future.
Last month, representatives from a range of local companies had their first opportunity to meet and speak directly with the commissioners about their experiences and the challenges they have faced in trying to grow their business.
This will be an open working session in an interactive workshop style to help capture key challenges/opportunities and solutions.
We want to make sure the local tech community has their voice heard - from business rates, access to talent, office space, infrastructure and more. Join us in helping to shape a better future.
Who is it for?
- Business owners and Management
- Local tech companies and business services that supply the tech industry
