Event description

Description

To support the well-being of organisations, managers need to have the skills required to deal with sensitive issues that may arise within their teams.

These skills can help drive performance as well as having an engaged and healthy workforce. Managers who avoid difficult conversations run the risk of increased sickness absence, staff turnover and a disengaged individual or team.

Following the event, each participant will be given 1 hour of one-to-one coaching with the facilitator to deal with a specific issue related to workforce well-being.

During the workshop, participants will:

  • recognise and manage different types of difficult behaviour

  • understand how to effectively resolve conflict

  • explore how to give effective feedback

  • understand how to share difficult issues with empathy and sensitivity

  • explore how to manage emotional reactions for both yourself and others

The event is suitable for senior leaders, managers and HR professionals and is part of Practice Solutions' well-being programme "Building a healthier and more resilient workforce".

Unhappy people don’t leave organisations; they leave their managers. Well-being shapes the quality of our working lives and colours how we live well. In an everchanging world, organisations must now realise that the well-being of their workforce should be one of their top three priorities.

* Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Places are limited so book now to avoid disappointment.
