About this event
Cancer Research UK Cambridge Centre – The Next Five Years
We are delighted to have secured around £22.5 million from Cancer Research UK over the next five years for our ground-breaking work. Over the next five years we will pursue bold, ambitious and entrepreneurial growth of our Centre so that it continues to bring the greatest impact of our science to patients into the future. Our strategy builds directly on progress made during the last five years, translating Cambridge innovations to improve and extend the lives of patients with cancer, wherever they live
At this Town Hall meeting Professors Richard Gilbertson (Director CRUK Cambridge Centre), George Malliaras (Director IRC in Targeted Delivery for Hard-to-Treat Cancers) and Sarah Bohndiek (Dept of Physics and CRUK Cambridge Institute) will explain the new Centre research structure and how it will provide a road map for aspirational and industry partnership growth over the next five-year funding period.
We would like to welcome researchers in any discipline, particularly those in the physical sciences and engineering, to come along and find out more about cancer research in Cambridge and how they can be involved.
