Welcome to the Crystal Palace Subway - January Open Day: Relaxed Session
What is this event?
This is a Relaxed Session at the Crystal Palace Subway.
It is a quieter and calmer time to visit.
People of all ages are welcome.
You can visit on your own, with friends, or with family.
What can I do there?
- You can walk around and look at the Crystal Palace Subway.
- You can take your time.
- You do not have to follow a guide.
There are colouring-in and activity sheets. You can use these if you want to.
What is a Relaxed Session?
A Relaxed Session is designed to feel comfortable and welcoming.
- There are smaller groups of people.
- There are shorter queues.
- It is quieter than usual.
This session is neurodiversity-friendly.
People may:
- move around differently
- make sounds
- communicate in different ways
This is okay. Everyone is welcome to be themselves.
Accessibility information (important)
Please read this to help you decide if you want to visit.
- There is no step-free access.
- You must use two flights of stairs to get into the Subway.
- There is a handrail on the stairs.
- The floor inside is uneven.
- The lighting changes from bright to dim in some places.
- The subway can be cold.
- The subway can have lots of echoes, and noises can sound louder in there.

Do I need to book?
- Entry is free.
- You need to book a time slot.
- Entry times are every 15 minutes.
- The last time to enter is 2:15pm.

For Relaxed Sessions we ask that you do not bring your dog (guide dogs are fine) to maintain the quieter experience.
Dogs are permitted at the general Open Day from 11am to 1pm.
