An event to inspire, educate and empower our regional members to achieve their ambitions when it comes to evaluation of impact, service innovation and taking your service to the next level.

FREE to CSP members, the event will open with The CSP’s Chief Executive, Karen Middleton, on the leadership of change and will feature a workshop delivered by the Head of Research at RJAH Orthopaedic Hospital Foundation Trust, Teresa Jones, together with Dr Andrea Bailey, Research Physiotherapist and Research Facilitator Physiotherapist, Yvonne Rimmer, (a role funded by the NIHR in a partnership between Arthritis Research UK Primary Care Centre, Keele University and the Clinical Research Network West Midlands). The role of technology in facilitating change will also feature in the programme delivered by Naomi McVey, the North West Allied Health Professions (AHP) Workforce Lead.

Provisional agenda:

9:00 - Registration opens + tea and coffee. Members also have the option of attending the CSP West Midlands English Regional Network (starts at 9am) to find out the latest from the CSP and also learn more about getting involved with promoting physiotherapy locally and getting involved with the network

10:30 - Sue England, Treasurer of The CSP: The CSP & The Charitable Trust – funding the future of the profession

10:40 - Naomi McVey, North West Allied Health Professions (AHP) Workforce Lead: Technology to drive change

11:10 - Tea & coffee break

11:30 The journey of change: Teresa Jones Head of Research at RJAH Orthopaedic Hospital Foundation Trust; Dr Andrea Bailey, Research Physiotherapist and Research Facilitator Physiotherapist Yvonne Rimmer will take delegates through the journey of change from inception, to implementation, to the outcomes that will realise ambitions and how to maximise research effectiveness

13:00 - Lunch

13:45 - Creating a case for change – workshop with Teresa Jones, Dr Andrea Bailey and Yvonne Rimmer. Delegates will be invited to discuss their ideas and explore how they can develop them.

15:45 - Phil Hulse, Vice-Chair, The CSP: Closing summary – what next?
