Event description

Description

A business is no longer judged on how it spends its money, but how it makes its money. Lord Hastings, Global Head Of Citizenship at KPMG International, presents this session, which will help you understand how the transition from CSR to Corporate Citizenship is one that understands the impact business has and the need to establish sustainable and enlightened new business models.

Trust in business continues to be low. Working meaningfully with all stakeholders will help business transition its operating models to ensure accountability, transparency and sustainability, while helping to rebuild trust in the role of business as a source of positive change. We will also examine how partnerships and global cooperation are central to achieving the SDGs. This session will conclude with a look at the power of partnerships.

After completing this session you should be able to:

- Describe the evolution from CSR to Corporate Citizenship

- Understand the role business in leading the Sustainable Development Goals

- Describe the relevance of stakeholders for business ethnics, Citizenship and the building of public trust

- Discuss why business needs the SDGs and why the SDGs need business

All profits from our Summer Stars lectures go to funding our mission of improving diversity in the PR industry.
