CSRA Talks Bisexuality
Thu 1 September 2016, 16:00 – 17:30 BST
CSRA Talks Bisexuality is your chance to find out what it's like as a bisexual person working in the Civil Service.
We're the Civil Service Rainbow Alliance - the representative organisation for LGBT people working in the UK Civil Service. Join us as CSRA Talks about the big issues facing the LGBT community with inspiring speakers.
This is your chance to hear from inspiring speakers and engage with the biggest issues affecting the Civil Service and the wider world. These events will be open to everyone in the Civil Service and free to everyone - the first is happening as a live stream event, broadcast on Youtube.
Our first CSRA Talks event focuses on bisexuality - because Celebrate Bisexuality Day is happening this September.
How to watch the event
We're broadcasting this event online through YouTube. Visit ukcsra.com/live at the event time to watch the live broadcast.
If you can't make the event live, or you can't watch it because of restrictions on your departmental IT, you can watch it back online afterwards - we'll publish a link on our social media accounts and our website.
Research into the experiences of bisexual civil servants: we'll give a quick overview of the data and research we've gathered into the experiences of bisexual staff in the Civil Service.
Emily Miles, Group Director of Strategy from Defra: Emily will be talking about her experience of being bisexual in the Civil Service and the impact on her career
Hannah Dormor, HR Business Partner from DWP: Hannah will be talking about what it is like to be bisexual in a delivery department like DWP and what the Civil Service can do to better support bisexual staff
Question and Answer session: Kate Scott-Hughes, Vice-chair of CSRA, will host a Q&A with CSRA's bisexuality reps, Karl Lotter and Mary Peart.
Join the conversation
For the first time, we're holding the event completely online - so it doesn't matter where in the UK you work, you can take part.
Throughout the event, we'll be tweeting. Join the conversation @ukcsra and use the hashtag #csratalks.
When you see us tweeting question with the hashtag #Q followed by a number, reply to us, and use a hashtag #A followed by the number of the question and your answer. So if we tweet #Q3, you tweet back using #A3 followed by your answer.
