Wargames are a way to safely simulate an historical battle and see how events could have changed if certain decisions had been taken differently.

Is the event only about the Battle of Culloden?

No, we are including some high quality models and sets of some of the local game clubs that explore other eras and locations.

Will the event be outdoors?

No, the event will be fully inside.

Yes! If you want to see the event there is no cost however if you would like to visit the museum afterwards then standard admission applies.

Are there any benefits to booking in advance?

Yes, if you book ahead of opening and bring proof of booking you may enjoy free parking and 20% discount in the Culloden café on the day.

Join us at Culloden Battlefield on saturday the 25th of October for the return of our Wargames day. We will be featuring displays and interactive games from clubs and collectors accross the country. See our recreation of historic events and maybe some hypothetical battles that could have changed history.

No prior experience neccessary and all ages welcome, drop in to a skirmish or watch a display maybe even create some terrain to take home!
