Join us for this technical session hosted by Peter Cheek at Godminster Farm, Somerset (a 300-cow organic dairy farm).

We’ll be focusing on cultivation and maintenance of soil health and covering topics including:

• Risks and benefits of different minimum tillage approaches.

This will include a demonstration and discussion of different min till kit, such as Väderstad Carrier disc cultivator (Weather permitting)

• Discuss the risks and value of deeper cultivation to soil health and wider agronomy, including the role of the plough within the rotation

• The management of weeds in the absence of herbicides.

We will be joined by soil expert Tom Tolputt of Terrafarmer to get into the details in the soil pit, plus share the outcome of trial work on organic bio stimulants.

We'll also be joined by additional technical specialists including Lisa Hambly from Mole Valley and our SA Farming and Land Use Team.
