Cultural Champions Middle Leadership Training Programme

Coming to selected partnership areas in 2022/23, Cultural Champion Training increases teachers’ confidence and skill leading on creative school initiatives and making change happen.

This 6-part leadership training programme, delivered by the Royal Opera House, explores whole school strategic improvement, in and through the arts, by empowering teachers and forming a community.

Working together, we will develop a new cohort of Cultural Champions drawn from your network of schools. Each participant will support and lead a creative school initiative, in conjunction with the ROH Create and Learn programmes.

This virtual induction event is an essential first step in the Cultural Champion journey and we invite senior leaders and two nominated Cultural Champions per school to join us, the event will:

• Explain the value and structure of the Cultural Champions training programme
• Explore individual roles and the key milestones
• Provide shared activities exploring school setting, personal development and place
• Introduce the work of the Royal Opera House Learning & Participation teams
• Explain and explore the ROH Create and Learn programmes

This event will be held on Zoom, with full joining instructions sent ahead of the event.
