Join us for this training led by Dundee International Women’s Centre for youth workers. This Culturald Diversity Workshop covers cultural awareness, and differences and similarities within culture.
The session will help participants to gain a deeper understanding of different cultures the knowledge of which will enable you to engage more effectively with young people from different cultures and backgrounds.
In this session participants will have the opportunity to explore what culture means to them and what perceptions we have of cultures we are less familiar with. Alongside this the session will look at how we can build our understanding of different cultures, why this is important and how we overcome barriers in order to make youth work practice more inclusive of different cultures.
This is a session which will create an open space for discussion and learning.
