About this event

Join Green Shoes Arts and the award winning Eastbury Primary ARP for this discussion on inclusion and accessibility.

Explore the considerations your project should be making, as well as ways creative subjects can encourage inclusion within your school. With the borough committing to every child achieving their cultural entitlement (being able to confidently participate, shape, and take pride in creative and cultural opportunities, making their voice heard) this session will also help you to consider how projects could be made more accessible, so that every student can participate fully. Alongside this, you will hear about some of the fantastic projects running in the borough, and the impact they have had on the school and students.

Eastbury Community School's deaf additional resource provision (ARP)provides pupils with schooling in deaf culture and history, language, cognitive and academic development. Eastbury's deaf ARP won the alternative provision school of the year and overall school of the year gongs at the 2021 TES Schools Awards. The annual awards aim to celebrate the most outstanding people and institutions the education sector has to offer. The judges said that despite stiff competition from schools in other categories, Eastbury Community School ARP "stood head and shoulders above the rest".
