Call on! We invite you to join our Chinese cultural taste session which teaches you how to make your own Chinese Good Luck Knot! It’s a chance to have knowledge about one of the important parts of traditional Chinese culture and DIY a knot that brings yourself good luck! Always looking for a good fortune? Make your own luck knot!


Session Description:

This is a chance for local communities to experience Asian culture! Specifically the Chinese culture. Cultural taste sessions related to China is held, traditional activities which are specialized in China will be introduced to the locals. Moreover, participants will have a chance to get special Chinese culture experience in the session, such an experience to learn how to make Chinese good luck knot for free is only available in artFix!


Background information:

Chinese Tradition - Chinese knotting is a decorative handicraft art that began as a form of Chinese folk art in the Tang and Song Dynasty (960-1279 CE) in China. It was later popularized in the Ming Dynasty. The art is also referred as "Chinese traditional decorative knots". In other cultures, it is also known as "decorative knots". Chinese knot is a symbol of prosperity and good luck. It’s said that people who have such a Chinese knot will be in good fortune.
