Event description
Celebrate and learn more about Diwali - the festival of lights- with students from the School of Education's Student Social Committee.

About this Event

Students from the School of Education’s Student Social Committee are hosting an event to mark Diwali on the 23rd October, 5pm to 8pm in the Student Common Room.

There will be a traditional Puja ritual.

You will be able to learn how to drape a Saree or Turban Rounding.

You can also try writing your name in Hindi (Indian language) before the event wraps up with some crazy Bollywood style jamming and dancing.

If you already own a saree you can join in on our ethnic wear fashion show.

You will also have the chance to enter the Lucky Draw India Pop-Quiz (entry £2 per person)

While entry to this event is free, we would ask that students leave a donation (recommended £3 donation) for the food prepared to cover costs.
