Introducing… The Culture Club (soiree)

Welcome to Culture Club - the brand new soiree and meet-up for HR die-hards, people geeks and culture-driven MDs in and around Manchester!

This very first Culture Club is the perfect opportunity to get in the mood for the upcoming CIPD conference (all the interesting people hang out prior to the conference anyway…)

Who you’ll be meeting

You’ll be meeting fellow HR boffins from companies in and around Manchester (as well as the lovely people from Fanclub Recognition!

What you’ll be doing

Culture Club is much more than turning up and hoping to stumble upon an interesting conversation. We’ll be setting speed-dating-style exercises and talking prompts to get set the company culture tone of the evening!

There will also be a talk from Fanclub’s founder Sinead Healy who will be sharing her 20-years experience on building positive workplace cultures and how recognition is a key lever to achieve the results you want from your HR strategies.

What you’ll learn!

At Culture Club, you’ll have the opportunity to tap into the knowledge and experience of fellow HR-leads, as well as sharing your own experiences and insight.

We’ll also be discussing some of the biggest HR topics of the moment, including:

• According to Gallup, just 23% of employees strongly agree that they can apply their company’s values to their work every day. Just 27% strongly agree that they even believe in their company values! So, are company values dead?

• Wholefoods implemented an employee health-based rewards system whereby staff discounts increased by 10% if they kept themselves healthy. Is this the promotion of health or a Nanny state?

• At SumAll, employees know how much everyone else is making and board meetings are held in front of the whole company. Is this level of transparency healthy and the way forward to build a true culture of trust?
