CULTURE CLUB SHOWCASE #5
Wednesday, 19 September 2012 from 20:00 to 23:00 (BST)
We're pleased to announce that we will be linking up with the University of Sheffield again for the Culture Club Showcase #5. The event will mark the launch of the University's Festival of the Mind. Even more impressive is that it will be held in a Spiegeltent which will be located in Barker's Pool during the festival.
The theme will be 'diversity', and we have an interesting mix of people showcasing the work they do with various groups of society. So on the night we will be showcasing the following:
Albion Choir sings the music of 'these islands' - England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The choir draws its inspiration from music and words ancient and modern, and from deep connection to the land and its people.
Arftfelt which works with The Children's Hospital (Sheffield) believes that art can help make our hospitals feel better.
Prism rapidly becoming one of Sheffield's leading contemporary art events, utilising various venues across the city to exhibit work by emerging and established artists.
