Do I have to run?
Not at all! You can run, walk, dance, skip your way around the course, the Culture Splash – Colour Run is for fun it’s the taking part and getting colourful that matters the most.
How do the start waves work?
To help with the congestion around the course and at colour stations we will let people on to the course in waves of 20-30 people every couple of minutes, we suggest any serious PB runners make their way down to the front of the start line to be in the first couple of waves.
Is it timed?
The run will not be timed, we suggest for anyone doing the race for PB to time yourself or get someone to time you and wait at the finish line, also to make sure you are near the front of the start line.
Is there anywhere to leave my belongings on the day?
Unfortunately, we do not have anywhere to store belongings, we suggest leaving bags with a friend or family spectator or in your cars alternatively make sure you have a comfortable bag to run with if you must run with your belongings.
What will happen if there is bad weather?
If the weather becomes extremely bad, we will have no option but to cancel the event due to health & safety.
Can I run with my dog?
Due to health and safety reasons of other runner and our furry friends you will not be allowed to bring dogs on to the course.
Is water supplied?
Please bring drinking water along with you to the race, you will receive a bottle of water once you cross the finish line.
How does the Colour Run work?
Throughout the course there will be 5 colour stations at each colour station one of our lovely volunteers will splash you will our coloured powders.
Will the colour wash off skin/out of hair?
Yes! The easiest way to get it off is while it’s still dry (shake, wiggle, jump up and down, vacuum, etc). After that, soap and water, with a little rinse and repeat action will do the trick.
What if it gets in our eyes?
We suggest to wear sunglasses (not only will everyone look more cool) but it will greatly reduce the chances of colour getting in the eyes. However, never fear, the colour is non-toxic. A simple rinse with water will take care of it..
Can we eat the colours?
Not recommended. It is corn starch, but will taste about like coloured dirt. We recommend wearing it, not eating it!!!!
Can we inhale it?
It’s a lot like breathing in dust, extensive exposure is not recommended. However no harm will come to you if you do.
Are the colours safe?
Our vibrant colours are made up of Corn starch.
