Overview

Experiment and get creative with texture rubbings from nature in this hands-on artist workshop and take part in a collective collage

Part of Cumbernauld Creates at Palacerigg - this free, family-friendly workshop invites people of all ages to take part in a shared creative experience.

Participants will explore texture and pattern by creating rubbings from a variety of surfaces and materials, using simple mark-making techniques that are accessible for everyone. Each individual rubbing will become a part of a larger community collage, celebrating collaboration, curiosity, and the idea that many small contributions can come together to create something meaningful.

The workshop encourages hands-on exploration, creativity, and connection in a relaxed and welcoming environment. The workshop will run twice on Sunday, the 15th of March, allowing more visitors to come and take part. No previous art experience is needed, and all materials will be provided.

This workshop will be ran twice on the Sunday from 12:15 till 13:15 and again at 14:25 till 15:45
