Coming together to share findings from the project and plan the next steps

About this Event

This conference is to discuss the findings of the project and identify how we can use this evidence to improve support for families of children with learning disabilities or autism, particularly as we start to reconfigure services after the coronavirus.

Agenda

  • Introductions (5minutes)
  • Presentations (30minutes)
  • Break – (10 minutes)
  • Break out rooms/groups (1 hour)
  • Feedback from the groups (25 minutes)
  • Next steps (20 minutes)

Speakers and groups to be confirmed.

In the break out groups, there will be a range of questions asked, this will allow time for discussions in smaller groups.

What is the CEIP?

CEIP brought together various sections of the NHS, Cumbria parents, third sector agencies and universities to develop and deliver the following programmes:

• Early Positive Approaches to Support (E-PAtS) for children up to 5

• Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) for school-age children

• Resilience workshops for family carers

• Strategy analysis and recommendations for Cumbria, developed by family carers.

Each CEIP programme was co-produced and/or jointly facilitated with family carers and all followed Positive Behavioural Support principles to maximise everyone’s wellbeing.

Find out more about the programmes in the independent evaluation report or at the coming together conference.
