Cupcakes for Beginners ( 12 + )

In this course (aimed at 12-16 year olds) you’ll learn everything you need to know about baking, flavouring, filling and finishing the perfect buttercream topped cupcakes.

This beginners course focuses on natural, contemporary style buttercream finishes that focus on flavour as well as style.

This course is taught by Bad Girl Bakery owner Jeni Iannetta and Head Baker Toni Davis in our bakery in Muir of Ord

In this course, you’ll learn:

• to bake vanilla cupcakes

• to make and flavour the perfect buttercream

• to flavour and fill your cupcakes

• contemporary piping techniques

This is a hands on, practical course and you’ll be baking 12 vanilla cupcakes as making your own buttercream and decorating your cakes. You’ll go home with the cakes, all the recipes and know how to recreate them at home.
Soft drinks are provided.

THINGS TO NOTE

The price includes 4 hours tuition, refreshments, recipes and all the cakes you bake (cakes have an equivalent £40 retail value)

There is no fondant work in this class.

We will only be teaching the recipes on the menu but will be happy to answer any baking questions in the Q&A session.

This course is taught standing, though there will be regular opportunities to take breaks.

This course is for 12-16 only. We can’t allow anyone under 12 to participate.

This class does not include Free From recipes.

There are a maximum of 8 participants per class.

Recipes taught in the class are all used in our menus and may be published elsewhere.

We don’t issue refunds after 30 days before the class. If you can’t attend after this, we can't refund unless we can sell your place.

Please note this course is taught by our bakers and we don't have PVG certificate. We will ask you to drop off your child and ask you to sign a disclaimer saying you're happy to leave them in our care.
