Description

Join curator Malcolm MacCallum for a rare chance to tour the Anatomical Museum and see, amongst other things, a mercury-injected body from 1788, an amazing collection of death masks and the skeleton of William Burke. Meet inside Doorway 3 at Teviot Place. Anatomy staff (wearing blue t-shirts) will be there to meet you.

Please note, under 16s should be accompanied by an adult. Parents are asked to use their own discretion when deciding to bring younger children to the Anatomical Museum.

There is no onsite parking, but Lothian Buses run regular services that stop nearby.

No food or drink is allowed in the museum. Due to the law which governs the display of human remains, strictly no photography or filming is permitted in the museum.
