    Join us for a day filled with insightful discussions, engaging workshops, and networking opportunities. Connect with other research-curious people, learn about the latest research in adult social care, and join the debate about how evidence can help you in your role.

    This in-person event will take place at the Holiday Inn Doncaster A1 (M), JCT 36.

    The festival will bring together residents, researchers, practitioners, policy makers, research facilitators and community groups to share experiences and explore the exciting opportunities the Curiosity Partnership offers.

    The full programme for the day will be published over the summer, including details of breakout sessions so you can personalise your day to what most piques your curiosity.

    Frequently asked questions

    I've never been involved in research before - is this festival for me?

    Absolutely it is! The Curiosity Partnership welcomes anyone with an interest in how research can help answer questions in adult social care. No prior knowledge or experience is required - just an enquiring mind. Our festivals are also a great opportunity to network.

    Is there parking at the venue?

    There is ample free parking at the venue, with no need to pre-book.

    Can you get from the centre of Doncaster to the venue by public transport?

    Absolutely! The 314, 315 and 221 buses all leave regularly from the Cleveland Street/ St James Street bus stop (https://maps.app.goo.gl/HDpLR3XsYVfv3d9B9) and stop close the the venue. The bus journey takes 10 minutes, the total journey from the station to the venue takes around 20 minutes.

    Are there electric vehicle charging facilities at the venue?

    Yes, there are charging stations in the car park at the conference venue. They are privately operated, charging details and usage instructions are clearly displayed.

    Is the venue accessible?

    Yes, the venue is fully accessible. If you have any questions about accessibility or individual requirements that we need to be aware of so you can attend the event, please get in touch with the Curiosity team at curiosity-partnership@york.ac.uk to discuss how we can best support you.

    Is there a special hotel room rate for festival attendees?

    Yes, the venue has set aside some rooms at a preferential rate for festival attendees. If you would like more information, please drop us an email at curiosity-partnership@york.ac.uk.

    Do I need to print/ bring a ticket or proof of registration?

    No, let's be kind to the trees and save paper! As long as you have registered you will be on our list and we'll be expecting you on the day. There is no need to show or print a ticket, just head to the registration desk when you arrive and we will check you in.
