CUriosity3: Urban Ecology in Art and Science
Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM (EST)
New York, NY
CUriosity3 is a public seminar program addressing the intersection between Arts and Science with a view to start interesting discussions and debate around the common ground of creative practice and scientific discovery.
Join us on the Columbia Morningside Campus for short presentations from each speaker, followed by an informal discussion session open to all, with a chance to ask questions of our speakers about the goals of their research and practice, and how their approaches influence society at large.
"The New York City landscape has changed substantially over the last thousand years, and so has the biodiversity of the species which inhabit it. Join us for presentations and a panel discussion exploring how Artists and Scientists are studying and conserving our local environment, through rooftop green spaces, parks and waterways. How might our NYC landscape look in the future?
