An Online Creative Writing Workshop (1 hour) with Dr Canan Salih

Curiosity is not a theme to solve — it’s a practice.

As part of the lead-up to A Season of Bangla Drama Festival, 2026, we are inviting participating theatre companies, artists, actors and writers to a one-hour online creative writing workshop exploring this year’s festival theme: CURIOSITY.

This session is designed for those who may feel unsure how to approach the theme.

Using short, accessible creative writing exercises, we will explore curiosity as a creative engine — a way of noticing, probing, resisting, critiquing and imagining. Writing will be used as a thinking and discovery tool, helping artists clear confusion, loosen early ideas, and find starting points they can develop further.

This is not about producing finished material. It is about opening space, building confidence, and beginning the festival journey with openness and intention.

No preparation or writing experience is required.
