Come and see a platinum OPAL playtime in action – ask the children about how they manage risk and the grown-ups about the changes they have seen.
1pm–2pm OPAL school networking
Current OPAL schools meet to discuss the practicalities of developing your playtime as an OPAL school, to ask questions and connect with others on the same journey.
About Oaklands Primary School
Oaklands is an outward looking, aspirational one-form entry primary school in Hertfordshire. The school provides a caring, positive, challenging and stimulating curriculum that encourages all children to grow as individuals and to aspire to be the best that they can be.
Oaklands has a loose parts shed, a large sandpit, digging area, water play, den building, music, dressing up, arts and crafts, a beautiful wooded area and a wheeled play area. The play team is very committed to continually improving their play offer, led by a fantastic OPAL working group, and helped by their very supportive parents and local community. The level of purposeful engagement of every child at playtime is awe-inspiring. They are just over half way through their OPAL journey and what they have already achieved is astounding.

On street parking is available close to the school.
We will be indoors and outdoors; please come dressed for whatever the weather. OPAL schools play outdoors in all weathers.
