Curricular Justice in a Complex World

Curricular Justice in a Complex World with Professor Mark Priestley

This webinar is on the theme of curricular justice. I will discuss the concept of curricular justice, addressing four themes: 1 -education IS political; 2 - the questions of whose knowledge should be represented in the curriculum; 3 - the importance of pedagogy asa curricular practice; and 4 - the question of who should be involved in curriculum making. The discussion will be framed around principles of curricular justice – redistribution, recognition and presentation – drawn from the writing of Nancy Fraser.
