Curriculum and Assessment Review Update for Citizenship

Following the Curriculum and Assessment Review, the government have confirmed that Citizenship will be added to the primary curriculum from September 2028.

In this 30-minute session, Becky Dawson, National Wellbeing Lead, and Hannah Wigram, Educational Content Lead for PSHE, will discuss the key recommendations from the review, including the core areas likely to form the backbone of the new Citizenship curriculum: financial education, democracy and government, laws and rights, media literacy, and climate education. Together, they'll explore what this means for curriculum planning and share some practical next steps for teachers and subject leaders.
