Curriculum and Assessment Review Update for History
Overview
The Curriculum and Assessment Review highlights the need for clarification and refinement across Primary History, as well as enriching the History Curriculum with broader and more diverse perspectives.
In this 30-minute session, Rebecca Crookes, Educational Content Lead for History, will discuss the key recommendations including clarifying the statutory and optional elements of the curriculum, exploring how disciplinary knowledge and concepts can equip learners for the future with critical thinking skills and supporting Digital Literacy and sharing how diverse perspectives and local stories can show the ‘innate diversity of British history’ and create a history curriculum that is representative of all.
