Description

On June 27th, Kate Allen, the director of Amnesty UK, will be hosting a fundraising quiz at the Amnesty office in Shoreditch with all proceeds going to her Peru Trek fundraising target.

The quiz will start at 7pm. There will be a bar serving alcoholic and soft drinks and a curry dinner will be provided. The winning team will receive a prize!

Teams can have between 4 and 8 people in them and each team member will need to buy a ticket.

On May 18th Kate Allen, the director of Amnesty International UK, will arrive in Peru ready to embark on a 26-mile trek to Machu Picchu with a team of Amnesty supporters. They will be hiking for up to 8 hours a day across challenging terrain and at altitudes of up to 4600 meters. After reaching the ancient Incan city, they will be heading back to Cusco to meet campaigners from the Amnesty Peru section. They will be introduced to local people involved in their ‘Education, Empowerment and Justice’ programme before heading off for a demonstration in Cusco’s Plaza de Armas.

All funds will go straight to Amnesty International UK to fund vital human rights work.
