Custom House Leith was designed by Robert Reid at a cost of £12,617 in 1810. Reid held the title of 'Kings Architect and Surveyor'. Designed in Neo-Classical style as an expression of the official nature of the business that took place in there. The central pediment features the Coat of Arms of King George III.
Available to hire all year round Custom House Leith has been the site for the Grid Iron Theatre, Retina Photography Festival, parties and art markets.

Inside local artists will be exhibiting their work and outside is the Leith Market, Dock Place. In the Cruiser Store at the back of Custom House you'll find GRAS who will be showcasing their work and the exciting plans they have for the cruiser store space.
To add to this the Edinburgh Art Festival will be at Customs House promoting Dazzle Ship Scotland, Ciara Phillips’ Every Woman.They will be taking groups of people to see the Dazzle ship and accompanying exhibition panels with an introductory talk from the EAF team throughout the day at 12pm, 2pm, 4pm. Trips will be on a first come first served basis, no booking required.
